"I began exercising in my teens from the sheer need to shed puppy fat. My first attempts were hopeless diets & short, breathless runs from one lamp post to another, egged on by my inspiring father. Consistency paid off. I began enjoying the high of being in a well-tuned body until one day I effortlessly breezed through a 4.5-mile run! That was 30 years ago. Over the years I have come to love and appreciate how my body continually evolves as I explore new forms of movement; it is no longer a chore or drill - for me, exercising is a way of life."
