Leap Wellness Studio – A pioneer in the field of holistic fitness - the first Pilates, Yoga, Holistic Strength and Core Training studio of its kind in Chennai. It is a passionately nurtured space offering a variety of core strength and body conditioning programs.
We, Nita and Santosh, established this studio in the year 2008. We each have over twenty-five years of experience in fitness modalities that include Pilates, Yoga, TRX, Weight Training Strength, Resistance Stretching, Nia, Zumba, Booty Barre to name a few. And we continue exploring in our quest to be the leaders in holistic fitness training.
Our vision is to inspire people to be fit Inside - out, and have fun with the process of getting there. It should not be just a means to weight loss, weight gain, or any other short term goal. A fit body is an expression of well-being and alignment.
Our mission is to use techniques that integrate mind, body, and spirit. And to achieve that we combine Hatha Yoga, Pilates, Strength and Body conditioning with props, accessories, dance and other soft tissue techniques.
We keep up with the research on fitness related programs and regularly attend international fitness forums. It is our belief that exercise is not a dreary drill to be suffered at the gym or through punishing training regimes. And we wish to challenge the myth " No Pain No Gain ”, which constantly bombards the community.
The functional training sessions at our studio focus on core muscle strengthening, with added cardio elements using TRX cables and kettlebells. The high-intensity workout sessions are open to all members who have a background in pilates. These sessions are designed to develop the entire body as a unit without isolating specific muscle groups.
We use Pilates to teach you all about body alignment, posture-awareness and correction, and body conditioning. We conduct Mat classes and sessions on specialized types of equipment like the V2 Max Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair and Spring-wall equipment.
